This is a colorized boulder abundance map of the Asteroid (101955) Bennu’s surface generated from a data file containing 49,152 data records based on the V014 shape model of Bennu. Each data record includes an X,Y coordinate location and the number of detected boulders greater than 8m in diameter (detectable limit at the time) within a 25m radius of each record. The data has then been normalized to a scale of square kilometers. The boulder abundance map has been created by plotting the X,Y coordinates of each record and rasterizing each point reflecting the number of boulders that have been detected. The data has been made available by Dr. Kevin J. Walsh, Co-I NASA's OSIRIS-REx Mission, from the Southwest Research Institute.
